Since I remember, I was a visually oriented person. As I walked through my life, I tried to grasp and understand the world with an open mind and curious eyes. Observing, I let the scenes and moments act on me. With my pictures I tried to process the impressions and sensations and to put them on paper, wood or canvas. Mainly I used ink, watercolour paints and pastose colours like acrylic paints . Particularly I am fond of oil paints.
Sometimes I take my pencil in my hands and start sketching in simple forms what I see. It usually happens, when I am somehow impressed by my surrounding or just feel like. At the beginning it is only forms, later contrasts will be added and finally colors and movements superimposed by using varies of brushes.
My art, drawings and paintings are a mirror of my reality. They give an insight into my perception and a view on the world through my eyes. The following different categories (Abstract paintings, landscapes, portraits or sketches and ink drawing) give a small overview.of my work.
More or less, each abstract painting has a meaning. However, the reference to the real world is not obvious nor intended.
Small villages, streets and views, cityscapes. Mainly play of sunlight, colors and reflection.
Each portraits reflects the feeling and motivation behind painting it.
